LS MotorSports, LLC announces new Convertible Top Scooter
Las Vegas, Nevada, July 6, 2004 – LS MotorSports, LLC, an importer and distributor of DIAMO Scooters, ATVs, Dirt Bikes, Motorcycles and other powersports products, announced today that it will begin importing and selling an exciting new scooter that has one of the first ever fully retractable hard tops to be sold in the United States.
The new scooter, called the “Velux”, will be available for purchase in July and is expected to retail for $3,995. LS MotorSports will be seeking dealer representation in all 50 states and Puerto Rico . The “Diamo Velux” Scooter is EPA and DOT certified. LS Motorsports has filed patent applications on the Velux due to the unique design.
“The Velux will change the way people think about scooter transportation,” said LS MotorSports President Mathu Solo. “People will now be better able to ride their scooter in changing climate conditions and not have to wait for nice sunny day. Gas prices are continuing to escalate so more people are relying on scooters for daily transportation. With a fuel economy of 80-100 mpg, the Velux will insure they can go places anytime. The automatic transmission allows riders of all experience levels to enjoy the Velux. The demand from dealers and consumers to get the Velux Scooter has been tremendous.”
The Velux is built for two riders and has a 150cc 4 stroke engine. The motor has a ceramic cylinder for reliability and longevity. The scooter is equipped with a locking rear storage compartment to fold and store the retractable roof with plenty of extra room for a helmet, books or more. The Velux has a Radio/CD/MP3 Player (standard) and a place to add an optional GPS system with LCD screen (optional). Remote Alarms are standard on all Velux Models. Other features ABS disc brake and dual shocks on the front 13” tire and drum brakes with mono shocks on the rear 13” tire.
